First Round Failure is an alternative/pop rock band based out of Chicago/Elgin, Illinois. Since early 2005, Phil Kondos, Tim Mackin, Shaun Malott, and Matt McGrath have been crafting catchy, melodic three to five minute pop songs that will softly kiss you on the back of your neck and slowly creep up into your head to play themselves over and over again until they wake you in the middle of the night and make you want to eat raspberry scones.

You might think the name is a bit misleading, but this band has been through thick, thin, and REALLY thick. However, their first round is long gone and they have now played dozens of venues in the Chicago land area, including Underground Lounge, Nite Cap Lounge, and The ELB. These handsome twenty-somethings are gaining a reputation for putting on a highly energetic/delightfully entertaining live show. On October 6th, 2006 they released their first full-length album, âAll Dressed Upâ to mass fanfare (two people were almost hospitalized). The album was recorded, produced, and financed by the band themselves and has since gone on to sell TENS of copies!
