During the early Eighties somethin' strange was happening in Italy, the country of mandolins. Expecially in Rome, a bunch of rude boys decided to claim their love for the brutal energy of Punk music. The scene was alive, populated by many bands coming out from the underground. Fasten Belt was part of this scene, and in few months they became the cult band from Rome thanks to their outstanding gigs, and to few songs bounded for glory. This soundboard live recordings (saved by a vintage music cassette) is a pure experience of that legendary days. Maybe the pronounce of the lead singer is not so perfect, and for sure the recording could be ten times better, but believe me if I say that there's nothin' so energetic and furious as this gig. In the name of Rock'n'Roll, here we comes Fasten Belt!

Fasten Belt was started by Paolo Bertozzi and Claudio Caleno in mid 1985 in Rome...a time when the music around was bereft of originality, the music driven by conformity with marketing values. They would break rules and have no regard for the status quo of the rock business of the time. They enlisted the help of Marco Di Nicolantonio- Drums- Massimo Bandiera -Bass- and Fabio Camerini -Guitar-The band would play extremely hard and with maximum effort from the members at all times,as though their lives were at stake
No Dice the first single was critically acclaimed.Around this time they began to play in other cities ....The trademark sound, forged by the two guitars lineup and the dark influences was captured in their first album -No Escape From Acid Hysteria-The chemistry of the members combined to form a whole that was much greater than the sum of the parts.
As hot as the band glowed, it was inevitable that it would relentlessly burn out it's components. The band after 4 years change line up and Alex Buccini come as the new singer in 1990.After some singles and compilations the new album -My Blood, My Sin, My Madness- reflect the new light of the band. They are considered seminally important in the development of alternative music in Italy, and their most dedicated fans are often musicians in other bands that are successful today.Fasten Belt reformed in January of 1995 with all original members, except Oreste Pellegrino Lise on Bass and did two national tours and a new album.
Now Massimo Bandiera Marco Di Nicolantonio and Paolo Bertozzi works at 'Ghostrack' studios.
