The reccuring theme throughout the book is Hitler's obsession in eliminating Jews and Untermenschen. this obsession cost him the war. More than a million men were committed to the genocide as well as valuable industrial production. Jews were an important component in Germany's industrial and financial sector. They were the mainstay of Poland's textile industry. The Righteous and the Wicked is an inspiring knowledgeable well researched book covering many barely known World War II incidents. It aptly demonstrates the fortitude of righteous people under difficult circumstances.
