A veteran to the Hiphop, Roots and Dancehall scene since the mid 80,s , Fada has gained exceptional recognition with his unique West African twist on Hiphop, Roots and Dancehall edge. He is favored and sought after nationally and internationally becauseofhis original flavor.
Fada has also been seen on many well known TV and Radio shows in several states such as Illinois, Atlanta, Indiana, and Missouri -- to name a few. Fada has also opened for some of today's well known Reggae, Soca, Hiphop and R&B artists such as Tony Rebel, Kimani Marley, Square One, Twista, Michael Rose, R-Kelly, Crucial Conflict, and Sugar Minott. He has entertained audiences at both the Chicago Music Awards and the Reggae Music Awards inAtlanta, GA. Fada is also recognized for producing exclusive tracks for well known DJ's in the Chicago area. Most recently, DJ Pharris of Power 92 Heavyhitters rotated his hiphop and reggae tracks in mixes which caused quite a buzz in underground Chicago. Fada's music is supported by Chicago's local radio stations and disk jockeys that reside in other countries.
Being half & half (African-American and West African), raised in Chicago, Fada's various musical influences include artists from other countries, continents and cultures. Instead of having to fit into one particular category or label, Fada would like to be known as a "World" artist creating good music for the entire world! In the 1980's, Fada mastered all of the components of hiphop. (Djing, Break dancing, Tagging, MCing, Beat boxing and Writing with unparalleled level of skill.
Presently, Fada's repertoire includes but is not limited to Hiphop, Dancehall, Steppers, Roots and Culture, Reggae, Soukous, Soca, Calypso, Bete' and African roots. He is the only artist the world has yet to see that can do eleven styles. Currently, ITunes has just released Fada's two hit singles Mapouka Dance & Klash, which has gotten over 2,500 downloads in one week. Now today Fada brings west African dancehall roots musik for everyone to enjoy.
