Hovering over her lifeless body, Becky Biblio watches as her friends and family try to revive her. A strange man tells her she has to go back-she and her twin, Tom, are the "Keepers of the Book." A gambit is offered, and sacrifices are made. The twins, who are able to communicate with each other telepathically, are torn between cashing in their half-million-dollar treasure from their last adventure and solving a multi-stage puzzle to return it to its rightful owner.
