Farid Ghosn(1912-1985) was a master of Arabic music whose playing and particular his compostion The Storm (Al Asifa)presented here, fused the music of the middle east and the west.
Mohammed Abdel Wahab said Goshn's playing was "Spanish in style" As'ad Makhkul Lebanon's foremost musicolgist decribed the Storm as a journey of the oud across Andalusia from East to West.
Midhat Asem, head of the music department at Egyptian Radio called Goshn " a genius of the Oud" and that "whoever listens to Al-Asifa feels the Storm transferred though the strings of Goshn's Oud"
