Christian Mann & The Guilty Pleasures is first and foremost about the music. It is able to stand on its own, in an acoustic set or with the full band. It is memorable, fun, and encourages the listener to sing along. Contrived lyrics and overused adages are avoided. To put it simply, the focus is on a sound that is genuine and real.

Drawing on a wide range of influences from classic blues greats like Willie Brown and Robert Johnson while melding into more modern artists like John Mayer and Donovan Frankenreiter, Christian Mann has put the focus on incorporating the spirit of their music while still creating a sound that is all his own. He enjoys playing with his band (The Guilty Pleasures), but is just as comfortable stripping it down to one guitar and vocal. However, in either situation, his focus is on conveying the emotion of the moment through the instrument and lyrics.
