With a voice of extraordinary power and vulnerability, Drew Citron is a young songwriter to watch. Drawing inspiration from such titans as Joni Mitchell, Loretta Lynn, and Julie London, her lyrical, soul-infused folk songs can cut to the core while appearing sweet and fleeting. A true daughter of the acoustic camp, Citron believes in the revelation of simplicity, poetry, and honest story-telling. The San Francisco-born songstress plays in and around Brooklyn to crowds of adoring drunks, emotional roustabouts, and anyone else who cares for the heart-worn.

Following the success of her sold-out Joe's Pub album release party last year, Drew booked an Eastern US summer tour that included dates at Iota Cafe in Arlington, VA, The Lizard Lounge in Boston, MA, Level 5 in Wilmington, NC, and a performance at Eddie's Attic, Atlanta - during which, she took home first place in the infamous open mic songwriting competition. She has played repeatedly at just about every club in downtown New York and Brooklyn, including Piano's, Cakeshop, Lit, National Underground, Sidewalk, Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Cameo Gallery, Glasslands, Pete's Candy Store, Bruar Falls and Matchless - most notably selling out the 200-seat house at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.
