Artists Krazy A and Rezadent team up to produce this futuristic beat that stays consistent with modern day social networking and online communication. It all started when Rezadent came to Krazy A with a catchy baseline. Krazy A then laced the baseline with a simple drum pattern and percussions. The initial idea of the song was targeted to be a professional mainstream pop track. After they both listened to the sequenced pattern numerous times, their animated and humorous personalities took over and lead them to create this smash hit. Joking back and forth, Krazy A randomly repeated the term ASL in harmony with the melodic pattern while Rezadent sat there confused. After Krazy A explained the meaning of this common internet greeting, Rezadent flash-backed and recollected his memories from his middle school days using AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and they both began to build off the term.
