My music has been a work over time beginning with piano lessons when I was just five years. In my late teens I added guitar to my list of things to learn. I had three or four really talented guitarists for teachers and I put in a lot of time practicing as well. I did spend half a semester at Berklee in the late sixties but had to leave cos I ran out of money. But I did some private theory study after that with John Weaver an ex Berklee teacher who had opened a Music Store in my home town of Newton.

Early on I did a lot of writing but I never had sufficient money or chops to record them in any kind of quality. My first big adventure in the studio came with Susan Kelly - an aspiring singer who turned out to be a great Veterinarian and Michael Levine who produced a tune of mine - Changes - that was in 1978. I was quite proud of that recording cos Michael put a real string quartet in it. Today that would cost a small fortune.

After that I just did a lot of song writing - Time, years went by and by - My interest in Rocks and lapidary led me to the Southwest where I met some wonderful folks in Albuquerque in about 2005 and having saved some money in all that time started up recording all this material I had written over the years.

True Kind of Love first got recorded in a digital studio in Grand Junction after digital first began to replace tape. Now it's a whole lot more developed - especially with the vocals of Susan Clark and the Bass of Blane Sloan and Drummer Dennis Painter.
