Elephant of Surprise, is the debut collection of instrumental experiments primarily from Alan Markes. Some dating back to the 80's, this is soft native flute one minute or loud timpani drums the next,, but always with a solid synth underlay and very often acoustic guitar. Recorded utilizing solar and wind power and borrowing excerpts from nature and other popular sources, this music embodies the souls of the planet and the most paradoxical animal there is,- the human species. Del Sleten contributes his own creative brand of jazz and awesome smooth guitar on two trax, which he wrote,- "Delirium" and "Zero Gravity".
Half of all profits from this project are being donated to a registered wildlife charity.
