Proof of Purchase consists of Tony Dardi on guitar, Randy Bowen on drums and John Gore on the bass. They formed out of a love for music and what they felt was a void, or what was missing in today's contemporary Christian music.

The band members started out as friends in high school, playing in a few metal and rock bands together and in other bands on their own. Somehow, they always seemed to wind up back together, in another incarnation of another band doomed to fail. This continued until Randy joined the United States Air Force, Tony took a job with his father and John went to work in the coal mines. John was eventually hired on at the railroad.

After a few years, the guys all lost touch. As "chance" would have it, when Randy left the US Air Force he ended up meeting Tony "by chance". They quickly were able to pick up where they left off but noticed something was seemingly different in both of them. They both had come into a knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Once they had shared their stories of salvation without fail, they turned their attention back to music. But this time, things were different. They were different. They had both came a long way from "those boys who were chasing a dream." Now everything was different.

After a couple of years, it seemed as if by fate, John got transferred by the railroad back into town and quickly joined back up with his childhood friends. As fate would have it, John was now living the Christian life as well and the lineup was now solid. Sometimes Tony would come to Randy with an idea, or a simple riff and say, "See what can you do with this." Other times Randy would go see Tony with a concept, or lyrics that he felt were inspired by God. And sometimes the three of them were simply jamming, but the songs seemed to come one after another.

Tony was the architect and was responsible for the direction and sound of the music. Meanwhile Randy was determined to include everything at his disposal, while not getting in the way of the song or its message. The two worked together diligently, to keep the time signatures in check and make sure that when there was a time change, they flowed seamlessly from one to another. Rounding out their unmistakable sound was John laying down the foundation for it all. The three labored over the music and lyrics, making sure scripture was the basis of it all.

Proof of Purchase is driven by the seemingly effortless yet complicated guitar stylingâs of Tony Dardi, backed by the furious drum licks of Randy Bowen and rounded out by John Gore's solid and unmistakable bass lines. But, their secret weapon for their music in this album was vocalist Tony Bell. His unique and unmistakable approach to the vocals was an integral part of the music. His style is best defined by his performance in the track titled, "Can't Explain". Tony's approach and vocal dynamic made it almost effortless for Randy's backing vocals.

Unfortunately, Tony Bell has since chosen to pursue alternative roads for his Christian music ministry, but his contributions to this compilation of music from Proof of Purchase are undeniable. In addition to his vocal talent, his contributing lyrics on the songs helped produce solid, bible based Christian music.

Proof of Purchase prays that this music will inspire the down hearted, move the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and strengthen the brethren. Know that God is in control and He loves you. Jesus is Lord and is worthy of all our praise. Know that He is the only path to eternal salvation.
