Description:

(ID 1186076)
The world's sexiest band - twice as tantalizing as Beyoncé, and a thousand times more passionate than Celine Dion. Their music has been compared to Debbie Gibson, Warrant and that guy who wrote Diff'rent Strokes.

16 MP3 Songs
POP: Quirky, ROCK: Glam

Details:
Formed in early 2000, Honchie is Frank Gifford (vocals, bass), Bob Saggett (drums), Dick Cheney (keys, vocals), Jeffrey Skilling (guitar, vocals) and Sherman Hemsley (DJ).

Combining off-the-wall wit with solid musicianship, the band has been compared to Ween, Tenacious D, and Frank Zappa. Whilst their live show - complete with shtick, spontaneity, and mayhem - is sometimes closer to an Andy Kaufman spectacle than a rock concert.

In their short time together, Honchie has built an impressive fan base in Dallas. Playing showcase gigs, including Van's Warped Tour, North By Northeast, off-SXSW, and countless regional gigs.

Backed by the 2003 release of their 16-track debut album, Deathfists of Rage, the band has garnered both local and national media attention. Including segments on the CBS KTVT Morning Show, HDNet's True Music, The Sheryl Underwood Show, and Much Music in Canada.

As for radio, Deathfists has surfaced on stations throughout the southwest and nationwide on XM Radio, as well as the nationally syndicated radio program, hardDrive.

And here's the really cool part: They've done it all without the benefit of a label.
