Jonny Blu is the one of the only Jazz singers of his generation who not only sings the standards, but he also writes, composes and produces his own "new standards". Unlike most of his contemporaries, all the songs you'll hear on his upcoming album (other than a few stylish covers) are written and composed by Jonny. His music and lyrics evoke the emotions and nostalgia of the classics, but at the same time give a contemporary feel to a whole new generation of listeners. He grew up in Los Angeles and was from an early age exposed to Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and the rest of the Jazz era gang. But, Jonny has looked to create his own sound unique from his predecessors.
