Details:
-Intro to Music-

Born and raised in Mullins, SC. Jebb Mac fell in love with music at a very early age. By the age of ten, he was writing school oriented songs, and singing them to the school over the intercom. At age thirteen, Jebb received his first hip hop CD, L.L. Cool Jâs, âMr. Smithâ album. From then on Jebb was always fascinated at how many different rap artists delivered their lyrics and how most of them wrote their own songs. Throughout high school Jebb Mac continued to write hundreds of songs. But he really wanted to rap. By his senior year Jebb put his songwriting on hold to pursue his first love, basketball. He received a basketball scholarship to play at a small college. After the first few weeks in college, Jebb quickly realized that this isnât where he wanted to be. He didnât want to disappoint anyone but he felt like everyone wanted him to stay in college and play basketball when all he wanted to do was leave. School wasnât going good and neither was basketball. Finally, he decided that he had had enough, and dropped out of college.

-Finding His Voice-

When Jebb came home he wanted to get back into writing songs. He was hanging out with some friends one day when someone played Mystikalâs âThe Man Right Cheaâ. Jebb Mac, just joking around, started rapping (and sounding) just like Mystikal. His friends quickly told him they thought it would be cool if he rapped some of the songs he had written, like that. With hundreds of songs in his notebook and a desire to rap, he thought that might be a good idea if he tried it. As soon as he did, it seemed as though many people started listening and taking him more and more seriously.

-Back To School-

The next fall, Jebb decided he would go back to school. While working in the afternoons for his father, on the family farm, he attended school at a technical college. He still continued to make music most of the time just rapping over other rap artistsâ instrumentals. Jebb began to get into the production side of music through a guy named Kevin Smith, the owner/ and sound engineer at Six + 1 Studios. He wanted to make beats. Finally, after three semesters at tech, Jebb got his grades up enough to transfer into Coastal Carolina University.

-Jus Productions-

At Coastal Carolina, Jebb Mac met a guy named Justin Smith who wanted to start his own production label. Justin and Jebb became good friends and started making music together. After Justin released his album âThis Is Meâ in December of 2004, Jebb and Justin began to get local recognition around Myrtle Beach. They got numerous gigs and performed at many places around town.

-Heâs Got Issues-

In September of 2005 Jebb Mac released his first album, and named it âI Got Issuesâ. His main purpose of this album was to talk about some of his struggles, weather it be school, girls, or alcohol. With one album under his belt Jebb still wants more. He is currently working on his second album and has dreams of pursuing a career in music. When asked about his plans for the second album he states, âI canât give away my secrets, youâll have to wait and see.â Thereâs nothing more that Jebb wants than to keep us waitingâ¦.and heâs doing just that.
