Description:

(ID 1201687)
This CD absolutley swings with a well chosen mix of classic jazz standards, new treatment of Stevie Wonder and poignant ballads, all of them sung with effortless style. Jane really swings & Rave Tesar's piano solo's are so delicious.

JAZZ: Jazz Vocals, JAZZ: Smooth Jazz

Details:
Jane sings with effortless style, natural warmth and phrasing that is subtle and right on target. She's hip, without the pretense.
âBeginning To See The Lightâ,produced and arranged by Jane Stuart and Rave Tesar, is a wonderful selection of jazz standards by Jon Hendricks, Duke Ellington, Stevie Wonder, Mack Gordon, Rodgers & Hammerstein II and Harold Arlen. Rave Tesar's piano solos are exquisite and perfectly matched to Jane's performance. Rick De Kovessey's drum work is tight, subtle and very tasty. It's obvious that they have a strong musical history together. Horn section is tight with Frank Elmo, Vinnie Cutro, Conrad Zulauf and Dan Nigro. Loved the solo's by Vinnie Cutro, Frank Elmo, Kermit Driscoll, Sue Williams, Len Argese and Frank Valdes.
Choice of material and pacing of this CD put it in a class above most. Jane Stuart is a wonderful find and this CD long overdue.

Working with her trio, mostly in the NY/NJ area and singing with âReflectionsâ, a 19-piece jazz swing band keeps things busy.
Jane is still involved with many projects as a solo artist, background singer and percussionist.
Projects that are in progress are with with Nick DeLaura & "Strange Weather", a Frank Zappa-esque adventure and
Arthur Miller, a funky/Freudian/jazz/folky can't explain it kinda thing.

âI love all the projects Iâm involved with. The diversity of the styles of music keeps things interesting. Most of the work I do is with my wonderfully talented and celebrated friends, so it's great to get into the music, hang out and support each others creative goals."
