Jewish party music)is a 500-year-old tradition that has enjoyed ongoing crossovers with its neighbors--originally Middle Eastern, Balkan, Greek and Gypsy music. This seven-member ensemble, made up of some of Philly's jazz, funk and dixieland players and directed by renegade cantor Jack Kessler, keeps the tradition evolving and rocking.
