Baby boomers familiar with the phrase will no doubt relate to Kline's metaphorical choice and arrangement of several tunes. The CD opens with an alarm clock leading into the upbeat, retro âWakey Wakeyâ, and ends (as nightly TV programming used to) with an entertaining interpretation of our National Anthem -- the only cover tune.
In between, Kline's compelling blend of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Ambient, and Celtic influences can best be described as âNew Age with Edge.â The unique flavor of melodies, textures, and moods is peppered with blazing guitar work, and the appealing compilation flawlessly intertwines infectiously energetic romps and passionate, evocative ballads.
