Americana, folk-rock, and alt-country with a Western tinge. Poetry steeped in the politics of our time, and that speaks of love and life's sadness and joy.
14 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Folk, ROCK: Americana
Details:
At 15 years old, I really pissed off my mom when I traded my school-band trumpet for a guitar. She got over it, and I got an itch I'm still scratchin'.
Born and raised a fourth-generation Coloradoan, I've worked as a janitor, dish washer, water & sewer plant operator, ski area snow maker and snow cat driver, carpenter, farmer and rancher, horse trainer, park ranger, and photographer. I've been around, and melded these experiences into a simple style of guy and guitar.
For years I've made my home on a small ranch in South Park, Colorado. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful, creative, and spiritual places on the planet. I share this home with my wife, Carol Ekarius, a writer and an endless inspiration.
I think mountain music might best describe what I do.
