Details:
Greetings from The Kehoe Nation. A place where the twang and shuffle of Country Western, the bizarre whimsy of carnival polkas, and outright twisted sonic explosions of punk and metal fuse together to create a misshapen and exotic family of good-time songs that strangely and completely satisfy parts of the human psyche that don't always admit to wanting to be satisfied.

Devil Acre's Overture, the group's second album, takes its inspiration from the infamous Barbary Coast days of 1800's San Francisco. A place where haggard prostitutes, self-proclaimed emperors, opium addicts, hopeless drunkards, lecherous crooks, and nut jobs who made livings from being publicly beaten ran the show. With their new release, the members of "The Nation" pick up the beer soaked torch and take over where these folks left off.

At every turn on the album the listener is Shanghaied, this time not by near-lethal drugs or by blackjack but with an assault of blazing Telecaster riffs, thumping stand up bass, relentless punk-a-billy snare drum, dizzying accordion scales, and low guttural woodwinds.

The guiding hand stirring this cauldron of Punk-Metal-Americana is guitarist Bryan Kehoe, who has been lending his ferocious guitar wizardry to groups such as The Jerry Cantrell Band (Alice In Chains), Ministry, Les Claypool's Frog Brigade (Primus), and Northern California legends M.I.R.V. Devil's Acre marks the second recording collaboration with Grammy-Award winning sound alchemist Oz Fritz (Tom Waits, Bill Laswell, Primus.)

Joining Mr. Kehoe on this musical vision is Amir Zitro (Stand-Up King Bass), Wes Anderson (Drums) Cornelius Boots (Baritone Sax, Bass Clarinet), Rob Reich (Accordion), and Max Baloian (Banjo, Musical Saw, Trash-heap Percussion.)

Just throw it on, play it loud, and follow the stale peanut shells and smell of rot-gut rye.
