It's undeniable. Some people simply do things and others were born to do them. Just like there are hundreds of signed rappers, thousands of unsigned rappers and millions of regular folks, who just rap, only a few were created to master a ceremony. Enter Dreamz R Real Entertainment MC and Source Magazine Unsigned Hype elected, LG.
Ever since the premium age of nine, 25-year-old LG (Lord's Gift) has displayed an undeniably natural talent for commanding audiences via rhyme. With a father who was lost to heroin, many of his first performances took place in the living room of his apartment, while keeping his single-mother company. But his rep was conceived outside his home as he utilized his immense, 6'4, 200 plus pound size, charismatic appeal and riptide flow to command ciphers in his East Flatbush Brooklyn neighborhood. For years L.G. was famed for mesmerizing listeners and battling foes with his effortless ability to rhyme about his surroundings. "I used freestyling as a tool to bring down my opponent's ego," LG reveals. "After they finished spitting something they thought was the illest shit they wrote, I just rhymed off the head and sent em' back to the drawing board."

But L.G.'s freestyle kingship became his handicap. With local fans always wanting to catch his spontaneous show, he began ignoring his other skill, songwriting. So while pursuing his Bachelors degree in Communications at Delaware State University, L.G. used his time away from NYC to hone his pen craft. "I had to realize that just being nice at rhyming doesn't sell records," he says. "But if I can be nice and construct a good song it would take me that much further."

And today you can hear the quality results of L.G.'s focus. It's actually the main attribute that separates him from any other MC, signed or unsigned. Many MCs can spit a hot verse. But few MCs spit a verse that touches the listeners' mind and heart, with a flow that protrudes amongst others. He's showcased this ability on the mixtapes of well-renowned disc jockeys like DJ Envy, DJ Vlad, DJ Absolut DJ Rhude and Dirty Harry, to name a few.

This is the norm for L.G. and for proof just ask yourself what rapper you know that can spew vocal heat for the streets over a track that bangs like colliding Escalades ("U Know"); have one of the West Coast's most lyrical in Death Row's Crooked I compliment his East Coast flow ("Follow Me"); and then go home and be confident enough to let his heart express itself to the apple of his eye ("#2")? Then ask yourselves what unsigned artist you know that has production, along with his in-house team, from star producers like Kanye West, Midi-Mafia and Ron Browz aka Ether Boy? Any answers? Didn't think so.

This is why L.G.'s future is looking solar bright. With Dreamz R Real Entertainment helping his dreams come into fruition, LG plans to use his music to help his fans' dreams come true. "People need artists that can make them feel different emotions with each song because expressing emotions helps people learn themselves. And there are few things more powerful than a person with a complete identity," says LG. "So if you're ready to open your mind, I'm ready to let you into the crazy world of LG." Let's do this y'all.
