Have you ever experienced victory in the middle of defeat? Just when you thought all hope was gone and you had finally lost the battle and wanted to give in to the haunting call of death, God stepped in and made you victorious. This is the story of Lise's life.
Born Elise Barnett in Lancaster, Pennsylvania she was destined to Minister God's Love through music for it was music that the Lord used to minister to her in her time of need.
Growing up in an abusive home she was beaten, mentally, verbally, physically, and emotionally. Never really having a true example of "Christ like" love she went looking for it in all the wrong places, an alcohol bottle, a man's bed, the street corner, and drugs but she didn't find love there.
It was through her pain of being so intoxicated to the point of death that she finally accepted the Lord Jesus Christ has her savior and He saved her from her tormentors and from herself.
As she grew in the Lord she began to develop in His gift of music, her voice has been anointed by the Holy One to be a blessing for all who are predestined to hear her. After she strayed as the prodigal son did to squander away her gifts and presented them before the swine she came back to the Lord and He revealed her true purpose in life, which is to praise and honor Him and Him only. Through much prayer and supplication she resigned from the secular industry and rededicated her gifts and talents to the Lord.
In a season of famine she found herself questioning her position in the Lord and it was during this time that God touched her heart and renewed her spirit by releasing into her this beautiful work of art, created by God Himself to encourage, uplift and reposition her in His Kingdom.
As she quotes "This CD is like taking a walk through the Garden of Eden starting at the pain of separation from God because of my sins but traveling to the astounding power of redemption."
It is her prayer that all who have been cursed by sin can accept the same wonderful experience of love from the Lord that she received and ultimately return to Him.
