Details:
Name: Mr â.â Sir
Birth Name: Anthony King
Age: 23
Birthday:
Hometown: Columbus, Georgia

Outspoken, brash, and confident. To say that he laid his own groundwork is a major understatement. Sir conveys such a flashy delivery of punch lines and clever wordplay to figure out how he does what he do has been a bit of a mystery, an elusive chameleon of sorts; like an illusionist who has mastered his sleight of hand magic so flawlessly that you can't really tell where he is at any given point in time. Now you see him, now you don't. One minute you think you understand him, the next you're totally baffled. Today he's a street kid skirting the law; tomorrow he's a creative genius churning out timeless underground hip-hop classics. And although it may seem that way, none of it is smoke and mirrors. Rather it's a man revealing his many dimensions and indulging his own evolution. He is a complex individual who has far more layers than you can ever see by looking at his boyish face.

A native of Columbus, Georgia, Sir took to rapping and writing lyricist when his age was a single digit and came into his own artistically in his teens. It was his way of escaping the reality of growing up in a broken home with the everyday images of his mother being addicted to drugs and the struggle of a disabled Vietnam Veteran dad to keep food on the table, off the crumbs that the Government gave him for his service to the country. Sir came to the realization quick that growing up in Columbus, GA there were to few ways out, ball, school or the military and the military was not an option! He had the smarts to do what he had to do, got good grades, hit the streets and saved up enough money to attend school at DeVry University in Atlanta. However, after only two and a half years he found out what DeVry really meant when they came out with the slogan âReach for the Sky at DeVryâ, and had to withdraw due to a lack of funding.

âAlthough I didnât walk away with a degreeâ, recalls Sir, âI did walk away with respect and friendships of up and coming lyricist who were, at the time creating a buzz for themselves in the area. âI had been free styling, writing poetry basically all my life, but it was not till then that I knew this music thing was meâ! Sir later came together with the guys he had met in school and formed an independent record label by the name of âEmpire Music LLC.â and hit the streets hard putting out two mixed tapes with combined sales totaling thirty thousand copies! In comparison, âIt was like heroin to streets of Baltimore, it kept folks up wanting moreâ, says Sir, âwe created a buzz and hustled thirty thousand copies without radio playâ!

For Sir there is no alternative. As a multitalented producer and a rapper he continues to produce music that people want to here. He refuses to be called just another fad or southern rapper! The industry is full of finger popping tracks or made for radio jingles, Sir vals to always keep his music true to the streets. After years of hustling behind the scenes in the music industry and the streets, itâs Mr â. â Sirâs time to shine. Sir is ready to step out on his own and put the rap game in a choke hold.
