Details:
In 2003, Colin began sharing his words and music through ccmixter.org, explicitly & legally 'premixed' for producers to legally build on his work.

In 2006, after over 40 remixes by producers from around the world, he is releasing a collection of the best, sharing revenues with the other artists, and helping to build the market for 'open source' music.

In 2005, Colin brought his "Free Culture" show on tour to conferences and universities like SXSW Interactive and Temple University, promoting participation in the Creative Commons. The show is a unique mix of music, media, and spoken word

As a musician and media artist, Colin has performed alongside some of NYC's best poets and DJs at places like Crobar, Halcyon, the Bowery Poetry Club, and Wordstock. From Brooklyn to San Fransisco, Mexico to Singapore, Colin's mix of global appeal and socially conscious music and media make him one of the rising stars of his generation, joining the ranks of Sarah Jones, Saul Williams, Alix Olson and DJ Spooky.

"a very important creator in the space of building digital freedoms" - Lawrence Lessig (Stanford Law Professor and Creative Commons Chairman)

Colin is also a social entrepreneur committed to using media and the internet to inspire a free culture and sustainable economy.

His previous work as Web Producer for Listen Up!, a national youth media network, as well as his time living in Cochabamba, Bolivia in 1998, have given him a unique perspective on the intersection of media and economic development.

Colin has a degree in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. He is currently attending INSEAD business school in France and Singapore, exploring venture opportunities in "open source" music and media.
