Primarily a vocalist and musician, Margie Warner has been teaching children music in some capacity since 1979. In her humorous style, she now teaches preschoolers and kindergarteners "the stuff of life" on a weekly basis in 21 schools and libraries along the CT shoreline, using a music and movement curriculum she developed over 10 years ago. A former para-professional for CT Preschool Services for the Blind, she has been trained in speech, music, mobility, and occupational therapies, and has a unique sense of what makes "kids tick".
She has since become a songwriter, recording artist, and music consultant for young children. Though her target age group is 3 to 7 years old, families of babies and kids of all ages have been known to frequently enjoy her "campfire" concerts!
Her new CD "Singin' Round the Campfire with Margie", is a call back to the hearth for all families to enjoy. A magical mix of traditional camp songs, integrated with new, hopes to spark enjoyment in the hearts of children long after the embers have died down...
