Nothing less than sublime. [The Troubadour]
Refreshingly unique tunes...a pleasure to hear. Blogcritics
If you [love] the luscious, intimate beauty of Rufus Wainwright, check out singer-songwriter Victoria Hume along with her band Moth. [The London Line]
COMMENTS FROM THE NET
Electricity is awesomeness!
Great voice, very individual, recognizable, warm and honestâ¦
You have a fantastic voice!
Found your music by accidentâ¦its freaking great- I'm keeping my ears open!
BIOG
Carefully crafted music, instantly recognizable for the appealing but ansguished intimacy of the voice and lyrics and the hypnotic melodies and arrangements.
All songs are by Victoria Hume, who released her solo EP Small Miracles for Shabby Minds in 2004. Brought up in Dorset but living in London since 1998, Victoria has been writing songs for as long as she can remember. Also a jazz vocalist, influences from Billie Holliday to Philip Glass are evident in her music. Her voice is often compared to Suzanne Vega and Joni Mitchell.
WE ARE...
Victoria Hume (vocals, guitar, keyboard)
Ross Richardson (lead guitar)
Chris Letcher (guitar, keys)
George Georgiou (bass)
David Eugene Webb (drums, accordion)
