Details:
Hey. This is us, the Milagro Saints. We've been described as a rootsy "soulfolk" band with multiple vocals and timeless melodies reminiscent of The Band, Fairport Convention, Rusted Root with a little Joni thrown in. We've been remaining steady to our North Carolina roots up the East Coast up to New England in appearances and airplay, and with this, our fourth cd, we feel like like we're just about ready to rise up and fly about a little.

We're fronted by Englishman Stephen Ineson, who, in case you don't already know, originally came to the U.S. for a national tour with TVT recording artists The Jack Rubies, and it was not long after that he formed the Milagro Saints. Joining him on vocals once again is Joyce Bowden of Jerry Harrison's Casual Gods, David Byrne, the Tom Tom Club Joey Ramone's Resistance, and most recently jolei. Much of the Saint's defining sound on 'Let it Rain' comes from the organ parts played by Lee Kirby, founder of the Raleigh label Moon Caravan. The finishing shimmers come from legendary Raleigh drummer and vocalist Ed Root, who is the newest member of the Milagro Saints, having joined up in 2002.

One of our favorite reviewers, New England columnist Seth Rogovoy, ('The Beat', 'Berkshire Living Magazine') recently characterized the sound of the band as "a timeless fusion of folk and soul music reminiscent of The Band but with distinctive touches all its own." We kind of like that.

Other folks have characterized the music as:
