Folk, with a Japanese/World twist to it.
13 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, WORLD: Asian
Details:
Throughout the years, Iâve developed a theory about music and what I like to see in musicians. As long as I can tell that the person playing the music is really feeling what s/he is doing, then I can feel it too. With that said, I hope Iâve been able to uphold this same principle for any listeners.
As you listen to Only a Moment, you may notice that there are a few tracks which contain Japanese lyrics. The Japanese language and culture has had quite an impact on my life. There is a Japanese phrase -- â䏿ä¸ä¼â or âichigo-ichieâ -- or âone time, one encounter,â which basically describes the philosophy that no two experiences are exactly the same, despite how similar they may be. Because of this, the phrase is a reminder for us to cherish each encounter we experience; from every âlaughter-filledâ conversation to every âpiss-you-offâ argument.
For me, Only a Moment presents significant experiences in my life that have influenced me greatly. At some point, it might be nice to describe each song and what it means to me, but for now I think it may be more worthwhile for you to come up with your own interpretations of the songs; they are more affective this way. If anything, hopefully Only a Moment can give you something to nod your head to.
