Mesmer was conceived over four years ago from the glam rock stylings of Joe Medici. Young Joe's affinity for British Glam, combined with his love for New Romanticism, forging a unique writing style that recalled the sounds of Bowie, T. Rex, Suede and the Verve. This vision was enhanced with a distinct edge and swagger as it was interpreted with a new sense of urgency and otherworldy rebellion as the framework for a full band of rockers.
Working with catchy melodies and ethereal soundscapes the boys comprising Mesmer, blend their various influences and interests to produce a unique sound. While it is virtually impossible to place their music in a defined genre, the sound is undeniably New York City. Mesmer succeeds at orchestrating the soundtrack to the clubs of NYC's underground.
