Details:
A powerful modern rock alternative band: Mary Ellis came to fruition in 1995 when four guys got together at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to shake up the worlds music scene. Writing all original music and touring as often as possible Mary Ellis made a name for themselves playing music venues and colleges around the state of Louisiana. In 1999, with a strong southern fan base, the band decided to focus on a new market and took their great hooks and popular musical style to a new crowd by way of the Midwest. This new territory welcomed Mary Ellis, playing all over the Midwest including cities such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, St. Louis, and Minneapolis. Radio stations throughout the Midwest have given Mary Ellis great recognition spinning the single 'Nancy' off of their first EP 'Shallow', and the singles 'Things'll be Fine' and 'Already Won' off of their second released album 'Porno Plastic'. Mary Ellis is currently touring the Midwest promoting their brand new release 'Worthless', which was released in January 2004. 'Worthless' is the bands most impressive release to date and was recorded at Million Yen Studios in Chicago, IL with owner/engineer Andy Gerber (Local H, Cheap Trick, Figdish, Caviar, The Cells, Various soundtracks including Charlie's Angels and Gone in 60 Seconds).
