Trash your trance and toss your techno.

The vibe of the new Millennium is the sound of the mambo, the bossa nova and the hot cha-cha. All around the globe its hypnotic bongo beating rhythms are what flows from the decks at tiki bars. Now Marcus Magellan enters the Nu-space age bachelor pad genre with rhythms that will transport you directly to the Holiday Inn Ipanema Beach.

Musically bred in the birthplace of bossa nova Brazil, then relocating to guitar/rock USA, Marcus eventually grew tired of the stale confines of the rock/pop outfit and moved his creative energies to electronic music. Finding more freedom and self-expression through the pursuit of the so-called "non-cool non-hip", tracks like "Bachelor Pad Pavilion" and "Playtime with Orca" drop into the existing lounge scene with fresh flourishes and a broad aesthetic. "Universe," which partially recalls the Moog-y heyday of the late 60 s, was chosen to inaugurate Keyboard Magazine's "Unsigned Artist of the Month" feature.

From his secret production lair in south Florida, Marcus says this about his work:

"Never forget that it's a good tune that inspires you. I want to make music that people can have fun to and are touched by emotionally.
