Details:
NONTOURIST (Andrew Kamm) is a beat-driven and often instrumental music project. Dark beats, industrial strength basslines and dirty piano samples make up most of what you'll hear - in addition to guitars, vocals and collaborations with other artists.
Originally from Michigan, Kamm moved to Chicago with now defunct power-pop quartet ExtraVery in 1996. After a few years in the Chicago rock scene and the band's brief stint on Warner Bros Records, he decided to leave his position as bassist in late 1999 to pursue other endeavors such as the emo-pop group Carbonfour, where he acted as a songwriter and guitarist. During this time work on these demos began.
In mid-2002, Kamm left Carbonfour to pursue this project. A follow-up to the 2002 debut NTEP is in the works and is expected sometime in 2006.
