No Affiliation is a metal band that destroys the misconception that the scene is on the decline. Exploding out of the studio and into varied venues, No Affiliation has quickly risen to the notoriety under both the metal and hardcore flags. Their take on original music will leave you both lathered and breathless, anticipating the next song and the next show. Known for their unique sound and insane performances, No Affiliation always delivers a pro-quality show, never disappointing club owners and fans alike. A true Westchester gem, if you like heavy music, No Affiliation will kick your ass.

No Affiliation was formed in early 2004 when former members of the band Enemy Dawn decided to part ways. Guitarist Sab Luyando and drummer Jon Kucera found bass player Ted DeFino and this three-man combination immediately gelled, creating some fresh and punishing music. But, the right voice was still needed. Kris Lagond was playing bass and singing backup in a band next door in our rehearsal facility when he heard No Affiliation for the first time. He invited himself over for a few jam sessions and the rest is metal history.

No Affiliation released a self-titled four song âTeaserâ CD in August of 2005 and the support and interest has been nothing short of overwhelming. Embraced by metalheads, club owners, DJâs, and promoters as a sure thing, a full-length CD will be released by 2006. Guaranteed to be an extreme wake-up call to the world of music, you will definitely hear more from No Affiliation in the months and years to come!

In a very short year, No Affiliation has opened for some notable acts already, Dirty Brown Eye, Fast Eddie, and Murphyâs Law to name a few. A New England tour is in the works and will be coming to your town soon.

Bass - Ted DeFino, âBarryâ, is an ex-member of Deviant, Throjam, and Idiot Syndicate. A veteran at his position, he also is the bandâs backbone. His unique style always attracts attention and he is driven to succeed. Influenced by most things metal (No Hairspray), his favorite bands include Black Sabbath, Bolt Thrower, Mastodon, Chimaira, and Primus.

Drums - Jon Kucera, âJonny Rockâ, has been playing since the tender age of twelve. As a former member of Enemy Dawn and Second Generation, he is the self-described lunatic of the band. Jon adds to the arrangement to a good portion of the bandâs material. His influences include Helmet, Slayer, Sick of it All, Dry Kill Logic, Primus, and Bad Religion.

Vocals - Kris Lagond âThe Bearâ is a multi-talented musician, being a guitar teacher, bass player, audio pro, recording engineer, and former member of Offset Chance. His absolutely ferocious vocal style and frenzied performance acumen make him a lock to be a dominating front man in this powerful metal act. Some of his influences include Faith No More, Every Time I Die, Mr. Bungle, and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Guitar - Sabath Luyando has the coolest name in metal and has been a performing musician for over ten years. He is the pessimist of the group, always predicting Armageddon in one form or another. An ex-member of Idiot Syndicate and Enemy Dawn. His seemingly effortless guitar style is impossible to imitate. He is the architect of the band and his influences include Dave Mustaine, Steve Vai, Paganinni, and S.O.D.
