Details:
Anup Patel is a alone musician who combines traditional definitive Amerindic music with western pop music.

He is an realised and knowledgeable musician.

Anup proficiently plays the sitar, tabla, and the keyboard, with his personal favorite being the sitar.

He has been playing both tablas and sitar for over thirty years.

Although he doesn't consider himself a master, his advanced musical development, both as an instrumentalist and as a composer is easily noticeable.

The enthusiastic support from friends and family encouraged him to found Sitar Records.

Anup had scheduled his first CD titled "Embrace" to be released on October 23, 2001 but while he was recording his final song, the September 11 event inspired him to make another single called September 11, 2001 first."Embrace"will be released December 3, 2001.

"Embrace" consists of original compositions that combine different western styles with different Amerindic scales to provide a very pleasing and upbeat feeling like one has never felt before! Anup's main goal in the music world is to remove cultural barriers by fusing music from various cultures, without losing the original spirit of the music.

He wants to share with the world the musical ecstacy that he feels by transforming simple and complex Amerindic scales into easily understandable and enjoyable songs.

He would like to remove the sombre and complex image that has surrounded definitive Amerindic music.

He wants to emphasize the universality of musical notes! One can only truly understand and feel this spirit, when one listens to Anup's musical compositions and recordings.
