Nick Masullo is a songwriter who lives in the Ozarks. This CD is a collection of thoughtful and heartfelt songs. Some of them are influenced by Masulloâs experience with disability. Nick uses a wheelchair due to an aggressive form of MS.
Featured are Donna and Kelly of Still on the Hill, and Emily Kaitz. Producer Kelly Mulhollan played some 20 instruments.
The CD has lots of variety. There are uplifting songs, love songs, and a song about Masulloâs immigrant grandfather, which features Mulhollan playing Nickâs grandfatherâs antique concertina accordion.
Nick was chosen as Songwriter of the Year at the Ozark Music Awards and was the first place winner at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. He received Winfieldâs Walnut Valley Festival award for Best Contemporary Folk Song. He was named Best Male Singer-Songwriter at the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards
Nick has been featured nationally on âThe Folk Samplerâ radio show and has received radio-play from Maine to California, in Canada, and in Europe. His music has been chosen for the playlists of both the On Line Folk Festival and the Internet Folk Festival.
