(ID 1241431)
Old time mountain and gospel songs played with old instruments and sung by great female and male vocalists.

16 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Bluegrass, COUNTRY: Country Folk

Details:
Here's the first album featuring the Appalachian mountain music of popular bluegrass and country artist James Christian, accompanied by the Oriskany Strings old-time band. This nostalgic collection contains 16 songs, 13 of which were written by James Christian. James's powerful country voice is supported by the sweet harmonies of the Oriskany Strings' three lead singers: Gene Guilliams, Rita Parady and Carol Lewis. James's songs have a distinct old-time feel and capture the spirit of life in Appalachia. They express his abiding faith, a deep love of nature, and a longing for simpler times. The mix of old-time instruments includes guitar, clawhammer banjo, Appalachian autoharp, and even a surprisingly tuneful washtub bass fiddle. This is an album that will take you back to the mountains, to those longlost days when life was a lot less complicated.
