This full length album and American debut by the "never cease three piece" take willful pride in their ability to lock together into one solid unit and make good on the sum of their unique individual talents. Matt Kady's guitar roars wildly, Wagon's drums thunder, and MSR slaps with a primal urgency that is one of the most compelling sounds in rock music today.

NOTICE is loud and it thrashes and Kady shouts to be heard over the din. With the opening blue-collar anthem "Playin' a Game," It's ferociously inviting, and it works both as a context-providing preface to the 17 songs that follow and as a deterrent for weak-eared listeners.

Rather than preach, the album allows the boys to dig and jam their vans on the throats of the forces responsible for the free fall decline of the contemporary music scene.

Like the shaky ascent of a homemade rocketship, OFFICIAL's style constantly teeters on cataclysmic oblivion; shards of chords slip away and grind against each other like a 6 car pile up. Buried between the static and the void, vocals are folded in and elevate the endeavor to fist-pumping, room-on-fire glory.

NOTICE is a jumble of power chords and smart aleck prurience, a blend of The Descendents and flinty Black Flag spark. They don't have any answers-- they just want to set the party, house, bar, basement...hell anything on fire.
