Details:
Odium is a five piece hard rock band based in Sarasota, FL. Formed in August of 2001, what started as a high school garage band quickly became a known musical entity in the local scene. Odium fuses older hard rock and metal styles with some of today's newer rock genres to present a sound that remains true to it's roots but still appeals to a wide range of listeners. In the spring of 2004, Odium went to Lakeland to record a 4 song demo at BitxByt Studios that has since been given out to hundreds of people and posted online. December of 2005 saw the completion of their first full-length, self-produced album entitled, "Rearranging Reality."
Odium has been described as a combination of Metallica and Pantera with heavy, yet musically sensible, guitar riffs along with thunderous drums heavily influenced by the likes of Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater and Neil Peart of Rush. Top that off with a singer who draws influence from rock frontmen like James Hetfeild and Sully Erna, add in the almighty guitar solo that has been forgotten by so many of today's "rock" bands and you've got a powerful hard rock act that is ready to take on any challenge that lay ahead.

"Odium has the capability to turn you into a live action bobble-metalhead. You get thundering riffs, innovative rhythmic complexity, and a spastic-yet-controlled drummer" - (music.download.com)

"It sounds pretty honest, and pretty rad...." - (Weekly Planet)
