Details:
Eddie worked as a jazz musician during the 70's and 80's, but then started having kids and working 'real' jobs. He kept writing though, and has had his material recorded by guitarist Bruce Forman, pianist Bill O'Connell and others.

He is currently in the healing profession, seeing clients individually and facilitating family interventions for chemical dependency. He is a certified alcohol and drug counselor and a certified hypnotherapist. While on a meditation retreat last year, he was inspired to record a sampling of his compositions that haven't been heard. The results are contained on 'Urban Shaman', spanning nearly 40 years of writing.

Eddie has worked as a clinician at the Kaiser Permanente Chemical Dependency Recovery Program in San Francisco and has been invited to teach at the University of California at Berkeley. He has played the trumpet and flute professionally, and spent eighteen years in the natural food industry until his interest in healing and recovery led him into therapeutic work. He is the co-author of the MAAEZ© intervention, a manual designed to facilitate affiliation with Alcoholics Anonymous for treatment populations, with Dr. Lee Ann Kaskutas of the Alcohol Research Group in Berkeley, CA.

He is a Vipassana meditator whose private practice merges transpersonal, shamanic, and hypnotherapy elements with his experience in counseling and meditation. Eddie is an ordained minister by the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person (AIWP) and serves as a consultant with Fajardo and Associates. He currently volunteers as a consultant for alcohol and drug counseling students within San Quentin Prison.

'Urban Shaman' incudes wonderful musicians that Eddie has played with over the years, and some solo piano tracks, as well as an e.e. cummings poem set to piano and synthesizer backdrop. He is still an active flautist, pianist, and hand drummer.
