Details:
Clock was formed in Boise, Idaho in January of 1999 by Mark Hitz, Leviethan Cecil, and Jason Ganz. They released a cassette only EP in the fall of 1999. This music was born in a dirty old shack in the Hyde Park section of Boise called, cleverly enough, "The Clockworks." In the future-shock year of 2000, Clock recorded their debut album "Three Animated Places" with RL Davis the Great. This album was followed by a tour of the Northwest, where a guy named Thomas Paul joined them to bust a hang and play a little clarinet in Bozeman, MT. He later joined the band for real. This line-up played so many shows, and shared the stage with bands such as Dismemberment Plan, Mike Watt, Built to Spill, 31 Knots, Q and Not U, Ted Leo/RX, System and Station, Pedro the Lion, Bovalexia and many, many others. In January 2002, Clock entered the Audio Lab in Boise to record their second album tentatively titled "Clock Went Red." This time, RL Davis (great) was joined by Steve Fulton (awesome) to make the record sound real good. It surely did. Unfortunately, the album's release was delayed due to reality TV and also mixing issues. It was finally finished, renamed "The Grief and the Heat", and released in early 2004. At this time, the band went on hiatus because half of the members moved to Oregon. However, the aforementioned state is not too far from Idaho, so Clock may return at any moment...
