Details:
CRAFTON LEWIS was born on the island of Grenada, in the West Indies, to a Trinidadian mother and a Grenadian father. As a child he loved to sing, and was a member of a school choir.
In his early teens he moved to Trinidad, where in 1965 he was associated with an organisation "Opportunity House" in Port of Spain. The sentimental love songs and ballads of the sixties made up his repertoire, as well as the "soul" music of that time. He considered a career in music, and made some radio appearances, once performing one of his own compositions.

Although he was a religious and God-fearing young man, Crafton did not commit his life to Jesus Christ until a close brush with death made him realize his need of the Lord. His conversion changed his focus, and he began singing in church services and writing spiritually inspired songs.

In 1971 Crafton attended Bethesda Bible Institute in Gladstone, Manitoba, Canada, and came into contact with teachers from Global Missions, who periodically visited and taught the students along with the resident instructors. He further attended scripture study classes in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, making friends with other singers and musicians who would many years later help him with the recording of his first album. In 1974 he began travelling for Global Missions, spreading the gospel in the West Indies, and later in Africa, India, South America and England, as well as Canada and the United States. Wherever he goes he sings to share the good news of redemption and to glorify his Heavenly Father.

Crafton recorded his first album, "Seen the Glory", in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in August 1999. It contains ten original gospel songs, sung in his own inimitable style in a rich tenor voice that effortlessly soars into high registers. While recording in the studio he received word that his father had passed away in Grenada, but he found the strength to finish the last song, which he dedicated to his dad. The music and lyrics are inspired and inspiring, sharing Crafton's strong faith and love for the Lord.

Crafton has "Seen the Glory", and it will become alive to you as you hear him sing with all that is within him.
