After studying classical music for most of her flute career, Sherry Finzer has embarked on a new journey, venturing into the new age and world music genre. Her first CD, "Unleashed" (2005), recorded with Tina Beaton (NRG! Duo) was her first experience at playing world music which was written by composer and guitarist Christopher Caliendo (www.christophercaliendo.com). After meeting and performing with guitarist and composer Ric Flauding(www.ricflauding.com) in Phoenix, AZ, Sherry convinced Ric that his guitar compositions would be beautiful works arranged for flute and guitar, thus leading to the newly released CD titled "Desert Journey"(2006). This collection of flute and guitar music consists of beautiful and relaxing melodies written by Ric Flauding, and also latin-themed world music written by award winning composer Christopher Caliendo. Chris's songs consist of dark, emotional, haunting melodies, to the exciting rhythms of the flamenco and tango.

Sherry currently performs locally in the Phoenix, AZ area with the AZzmenco quartet and Trillium Flute Trio and nationally with NRG!Duo. www.sherryfinzer.com
