I know that there are more worship CDs on the market then you can even count. And still, we have spent the last two years working toward this project because we really wanted to tell you the story of the miracle that weâre living through in Edmonton. Four and a half years ago we started an experiment in barely organized religion that we call The Project and it has set our hearts free. We are learning that itâs really not about the look or the sound, itâs about a choice to be authentic. And so, we have learned that a song is just a song until you write your own heart on it. Thatâs what we think it means to evolve ordinary. Take a song that you write as a prayer and then make it anything but ordinary by what you say to Him when you play it. This is what we wanted to add to the worship expression of our generation. This is our evolution of ordinary.
The Project is the young adult ministry of Mill Woods Pentecostal Assembly, Edmonton, Canada. This CD was recorded by 26 musicians who are on three worship teams and was inspired by what happens at The Project week after week during worship.

Well what do we say in ministry? I would like to communicate to you that The Project is a Jesus honouring, Jesus following, kingdom minded young adult worship team. They are very focused. Their aim is the not so easy task of being a synapse between young adults and Jesus Christ. Amazingly, these musicians use the same music and worship to connect with people who are far from God as well as those who are close and seeking.
The Evolution of Ordinary is an expression of their mission. Their track record has surprised us all with its fruitfulness. You may not be able to take this to the bank but it certainly will translate into treasure in heaven.
