Wrathful Plague is an old-school black metal band based in South-Central, Illinois which was founded by Nostaun in December of 2005. In April of 2006 Wavy Svendersuhn joined Wrathful Plague as their drummer/keyboardist and WP was soon signed by GES Productions. In months to come WP was featured on Blabbermouth.net and even received airplay on a metal radio station in Springfield, Illinois. WP is an underground extreme metal band...and we do not claim to be part of any trends or scenes. On Sept 19th 2006 we released our debut full-length (LP) entitled "The Frostbitten Path" through GES Productions (featuring eight tracks of grim old-school black metal). Following the completion of "The Frostbitten Path" we returned to the studio to begin working on new material for a sophomore release entitled "Bitter Forest Winds" which will be released sometime during Spring/Summer 2007.
