Akahdahmah and Doctah B Sirius are Herban Shamen Akahdahmah. âRhythm, the movement of time plus frequency plus harmony equals the river of life. With ancestry embedded in Georgia and Alabamaâs lush red earth, Akahdahmah first began to learn about the lore of traditional healing and the spirit of music from his great aunt Mamie, a pinewoods bush doctor in Alabama. She helped sow the seeds of traditional healing that eventually led him to the wise knees of his Seminal grandmother, Chinna (pronounced Sheena), where she taught him to listen the great mystery of creation. Initiation into the chamber of the shaman (medicine man) was at hand, his spiritual guardian, Madrina, a Cuban transplant in New York. She was there to take him through the womb portal into knowledge of self. Showing him about the power of plants in ritual, filling his young mouth and eyes with bittersweet powders, herbs and tinctures, while rubbing her ancestral formulas on the soles of his feet. She sang African songs with Cuban lips to Afro-Cuban rhythms. Activating this, 7-year-old initiateâs awareness of the spirit world and the medicine/music man within. She used songs, ancient prayers, ritual, plants and intention, to point him in the direction of knowing the source. Years later the indiginous rituals have evolved into keys opening the door to the inner sanctum, revealing the power of regeneration, creativity and the presence of the God within. Standing in this awareness the time has come for him to share this sacred medicine way that was passed on to be passed on. This mission is intended to help other beings find the path that unites them with the Most High and reveals their divine purpose here on Earth.
