Bound by friendship and a passion for original music, The Parlor Room brings a fresh sound to the Milwaukee music scene. Though the group originally started as a solo project, its added members bring crisp guitars, warm bass, delicate piano and driving drums that frame vocal harmonies as they combine storytelling with spacious soundscapes. The Parlor Room might be categorized as indie-folk, but labels are irrelevant to a band with this much promise.

Recorded in a mere two days, sophomore EP âThe Fallâ showcases The Parlor Roomâs strength as a live band. In fact, the majority of the music was recorded live to 2â analog tape, and no computers were used during the recording process â a deviation from the digital recording practices that dominate the music industry today. You will not hear any pitch-corrected vocals, programmed drums or heavily-processed guitars. What you will hear is five bandmates (and guest vocalist Kayla Arbet) pouring their heart and soul into a record. The digitally modeled reverb sounds of a computer program have been abandoned in favor of the real sounds of a dusty brick room known as The Tannery Recording Studio, part of a century-old former tanning warehouse located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. With an EP as strong as "The Fall" you can't help but wonder what the future holds in store for The Parlor Room.
