Hello and welcome,

Let me tell you a little bit about myself, w/out writing a book.

I've been singing since I can remember. When I was 10 living in Forks, WA, my mom (song writer) and I went to the local library. She checked out some mystery novels and I checked out 2 albums, the first was Patsy Cline and the second was Linda Rondstadt. I played and sang along to both using my Fisher Price record player. Remember those? We moved a lot while I was growing up, but wherever we went I always had my music.

As a teenager living in Salem, OR, I got a real stereo w/ a tape player for Christmas and a cheesy little microphone. Every day after school I would record my voice over, and over, and over until I perfected or at least hit the notes that Patsy Cline and Whitney Houston were singing.

When I turned 21 my mom and my boy friend at the time went to a karaoke bar. I put up a slip to sing "Sweet Dreams", by Patsy Cline. When the karaoke host called my name I was so scared, but then I thought, "You can do it, and besides none's been listening to the singers anyway." Before I got out the word "Dreams", people stopped what they were doing and their attention was on me. I thought, "Oh my God they're listening", and my knees started shaking. Needless to say, from the reaction that I got during and after the song I knew I had something special.

Since then after a failed relationship, moving to Washington State, and losing 80 lbs., I've recorded 3 albums. The first 2 were both recorded in 1999 as a present to my aunt, uncles, and grand parents (God rest my grand parents souls) for a Christmas reunion that had been long over due. I found some pictures of when they were younger and put them in the insert, and a few months before the reunion my mother found out what their favorite songs were. I bought the background tracks and went to a local studio. I spent more money than I had made in a month, but it was well worth it to see the looks on their faces and to see everyone laughing at the pictures. That was the best Christmas gift a girl could ask for.

This album, "Blue Country" was a project that my mom (Sandy) and I worked on together while singing in a local band called, "The Evening Shades" on the weekends. The song, "WE ARE AMERICA", was written right after the 9/11 attacks and is a tribute to those who lost their loved ones and a reminder to the rest of the country to stay strong. "THE GREATEST MOMENT", could be about anyone that is close to your heart. For me, when I hear it I think of God. To different people it has different meanings, but that's the beauty of music isn't it?

All the songs sound different from one another; "HELL FIRE & DAMNATION" has kind of a modern country/Christian rock sound. "WHEN THE BLUES DROP BY", is what the title suggests.... A blues tune. "ADDICTIONS", sounds like a Cheryl Crowe tune (to me anyway) at times.

The song, "CHOCOLATE" was a silly song to me when I recorded it, but I've had at least 10 people tell me that that's their favorite song. It talks about a woman telling her spouse/boy friend to bring her chocolates instead of flowers after an argument.

Well, I said I wasn't going to write a book, but I certainly wrote a mini-book didn't I? :).

To all that have purchased the album, "I thank you", and for those who have been asking me when the next one is coming, I hope to have it finished by Christmas of this year (2005). It will sound a lot bluesier than this one with a little bit of country, since I am a big Susan Tedeschi and Jonny Lang fan.

Thanks for reading and keep listening,

Annie :)

P.S. My e-mail has been updated and a new web site will be coming just as soon as I learn how to build one.
