Few people are gifted with the natural abilities to dance like a superstar. Even fewer are coupled with the talent to sing. And even less are triple threats who can deliver rap cadences that make the dopest M.C. envious. J.How? is that dancing, singing, and rapping phenomenon on his way to superstardom.

Partying like itâs 1999, Jalon Deshae Howard two-stepped into this world on January 8, 1999 and affectionately shares birthdays with the great Elvis Presley. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Cortenay and Shawnae Howard. Music waves must have traveled through his umbilical cord because he was innately connected to the passion of music. As soon as he was able to stand, he was dancing. Weâre not talking about the ordinary bounce of toddlers; this young Usher disciple could boogie.

His parents realized there was something special about âHappy Feetâ Jalon, so they kept him active as much as possible. He excelled in Little League Baseball and would smash dance competitions. His dancing skills lead to him becoming a member of a local kids group named Baby Phazz Crew at the age of 8. This opportunity introduced him to studio recording, honing his skills as a performer, and subsequently produced three singles: âTons of Funâ, âYoung New Hip Hopâ, and âBully Suicideâ. With the Baby Phazz Crew, heâs performed at the Mayor of Dallasâ Back To School Rally in 2007, Six Flags over Texas Live and Local in 2009-10, Thriller Fest at The Water Gardens in Fort Worth, TX, Big Binkâs Summer Tour, to name a few.

Jalon has always loved to perform and while casually dancing in the audience at Kwanzaa Fest in Dallas, he was recognized by platinum recording artist Omarion and asked to join him onstage. It was there he would also meet nationally acclaimed playwright and theater producer, Laterras R. Whitfield. Mr. Whitfield admired Jalonâs potential and kept a close watch on the budding star. Shawnae continued signing-up Jalon into dance competitions across the DFW Metroplex. Heâs earned cash awards winning numerous contests. The biggest events were the televised Dance Club 21 and The Michael Jackson Impersonating Competition (sponsored by K104 and Dallas Elite News). He caught the eye of the artist Cupid and performed in his video titled âDo My Ladies Run Thisâ which aired on BET in 2010.

Keeping her connections fresh, Shawnae reached out to Mr. Whitfield to see if he had interests in working with Jalon. Mr. Whitfield invited Jalon to dance at the end of one of his plays and Jalon received a standing ovation from the audience. Mr. Whitfield was convinced he must act and act fast. So, he changed Jalonâs name to âJ.How?â because he and others wondered how the talented pre-teen danced like he did. He also decided to solidify his relationship with Jalon by writing and producing a new single through his production team DreamHustler, entitled âDouble Dutchâ.
