Details:
The CD, âOVER THE YEARSâ is a self-produced project of a select group of songs all written by Robby Hicks. People around the West Texas area might remember Robby from playing in some of the top regional bands like West Wind, Dealerâs Choice or Amos. While still living in West Texas Robby penned the top 10 hit for Moe Bandy and Joe Stampley the same year they were named Top Duo of the year by the CMA. A couple of years later he moved to Nashville where he has since had songs recorded by Eric Heatherly, Lucas Hoge, Leven Bridges, West Wind and Sunday Driver. Sunday Driver was a band Robby put together with a good friend and co-writer Ed Williams. With that band they consistently packed one of the hottest clubs in Nashville and set a record at the bar in bar sells. That led to 2 of the top producers in Nashville to doing projects on the band. Make a long story short, personal problems arose and â¦(*&*(&#$# Anywaysâ¦
Being the son of one of the best craftsmen in his part of the country, the chip off the old block theory has held true. Robby, after moving to Nashville, started his own wallpaper business to supplement the songwriting and has worked for the "Whoâs Who" of Nashville. Homes of these include: Alan Jackson, Donna Summer, Wynona Judd, Darrel Waltrip, Conway Twitty, Tony Brown, Brent Mason, Lamar Alexander, Kid Rock, Steve Winwood and many more.
Although Robby has consistently been writing for years he is at a point in his writing where it has reached a new plateau. Prolific since day one, but now a true polished songwriter, you will be hearing a lot out of this person in the future. This collection of songs promises to be well worth the not eating for a day or two, or even three to buy!! Hope you enjoy it and all your dreams come true.
