Texas born (and mostly bred), Aaronâs love for music began as a young boy listening to the glorious notes of Bach and Beethoven ringing from the piano commanded by his motherâs fingertips. He longed to master the instrument as beautifully as she but after a few years of half-hearted practice, the mastery of the instrument eluded him. However, another gift began to emerge, melody creation. He poured himself into the art and at an early age his destiny found him.

After 22 years in San Antonio, Texas, honing his musical and leadership abilities by ministering in churches and youth camps, Aaron followed his heart to Houston to serve on the music ministry team of Lakewood Church with Pastor Joel Osteen. He assumed the role of worship leader for the youth department while also ministering solo and periodically leading worship in the main, 18,000-seat, auditorium. It was an opportunity that totally caught him off guard and stretched him on every level. What he gleaned from the experience was more than he ever imagined. âThose were the two most faith-building and musically challenging years of my life,â Aaron recounts. âGod knew exactly what I needed.â

After two years in Houston, a new door opened for Aaron to lead worship at The Woodlands Church (Northwest campus) a 17,000-member church under the leadership of Pastor Kerry Shook. While he considers this his primary ministry focus, you can still frequently find Aaron leading worship in Wednesday and weekend adult services at Lakewood Church. âI am overwhelmed to be able to lead worship at two of Americaâs greatest churches. I could never have imagined it. I am so thankful for the honor to work with such amazing ministries.â

Through all the writing, worship leading and recording, Aaron still finds time for his greatest joy - his family. He and his wife, Amanda, have two wonderful sons, Segen Max and Emery Tait. It won't be long before Segen joins his daddy on stage. Search for "Segen Max" on YouTube to find out why!
